The Hotel

No one less than Salvatore Ferragamo’s son Ferrucio discovered the lands of this chic medieval village. He spent years restoring the property to transform it in his private dream and in the dream of many of his guests, too.

Get one of the bicycles available for the guests and ride through the surrounding vineyards and olive trees that besides supplying the property of wine and olive oil still follow the local manufacturing traditions.

The spacious rooms and villas are spread around the hotel, which is a bonus for those who want privacy. Enjoy the panoramic views over the surrounding gardens and delight yourself with the unforgettable Tuscan countryside.

Suites

Il Borro is different from the conventional hotels. To begin with, the rooms are not all in one block, but spread all over the property. In case you are with your family or a group of friends, try staying at one of our three villas (with capacity for up to 10 people, a pool and their own gardens). The hotel is small with only 25 rooms but all of them are spacious, individually decorated and some even have a mini-kitchen.

Barrocciaio – For couples (double bed)

If you want to feel as if you were at a Tuscan house, you should book this bedroom. Simple, yet elegant, Barrocciaio welcome its guests in the true local style. Relax at the lounge or at the soaking tub.

Maestra – for two people (double or twin beds)

Recently renewed, Maestra is the translation of refinement and comfort. A spacious living area, a soaking tub and a Turkish bath are only a few of the reasons why you feel enchanted by this room.

Principessa – for four people (two rooms with double beds)

Live like royalty… that is the feeling you will have while in this room. And for good reason: once, these were the rooms of Princess Pignatelli. A mini-kitchen, a lounge and a bath are available.

Gastronomy

Il Borro has three restaurants. Osteria del Borro is led by the chef Andrea Campani and serves an authentic Tuscan culinary at an elegant an comfortable place, just like the hotel itself. The highlight is the kitchen with glass walls where you can watch the dishes being prepared. There is also the Tuscan Bistrô that serves breakfast and lunch at a casual place with a highlight to their impressive wine cellar, which is right in the sight of the visitors. Moreover, the VinCafé, that serves appetizers and light meals.

Leisure

There are so many options for you to discover Il Borro and Tuscany your way. It is possible to visit the wine cellar with wine tastings and olive oils that the hotel produces itself and speaking of which, do not miss the hotel’s store La Bottega with products tasting and much more, horseback riding (picnic included), cooking classes with local chefs to learn the secrets of the Tuscan cooking and hunting for truffles.

To take care of your wellbeing, the spa offers treatments with Kanebo Cosmetics products and vinotherapy sessions.

For those who like arts, there is a permanent exhibit at Galleria del Borro - “Vino&Arte”. It displays an exclusive collection of historical engravings related to wine that belongs to Ferruccio Ferragamo.

Location

With its surroundings filled with vineyards, cities that are rich in art, fields of olive trees and truffles and fashion names (Gucci and Ferragamo, among others), Tuscany summarizes la vera Italia. However, the most important role of this region will always be as the cradle of Renaissance, which presence perpetuated throughout the years by the masterpieces of Botticelli on the walls.
