Traditional architecture, luxurious gardens and modern furnishings give Palazzo Margherita the sensation of being somewhere that preserved the charm of its times but was brought to the present unpretentious and exotically by no one less than the Italian moviemaker Francis Ford Coppola, who loves the region so much that transformed the old palazzo in a mini-oasis.
The French designer’s Jacques Grange acclaimed work is also evident in here: the art déco interiors can be seen in the Moroccan tiles, in the hand painted frescoes and the airy suites open to the interior patio or to the garden with a lovely fountain.
More than just a boutique hotel, Pallazo Marguerita is a sample of the love Francis Ford Coppola and his family feel for Italy. They transformed this relic in one of the best hotels of the country, a scenery worthy of a masterpiece of the seventh art.

Jacques Grange designed this suite together with Francis’ daughter, Sofia Coppola. Its inside is delicate and girlie, with hand-painted frescos that resemble a summer garden with the morning fog. A pretty kitchen attached to a dining room serves meals as if you were at home. The chefs, handpicked by Coppola, prepare a bread that felt from heaven for breakfast and they offer local gastronomy in an exquisite way for lunches and dinners.
When it comes to bars, Palazzo Marguerita is proud of its three spoils: the Cinecittà bar that serves wood fired pizza in a balcony that has views of the city’s square; a bar next to the pool that serves a selection of drinks, wines and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks and the Family Bar, a space with recovered furniture such as a chandelier of the original property, a vintage bar from Turim and its walls dressed up in a Le Manach retrô fabric.
