The Hotel

Located in a small valley on the central coast of Portugal and surrounded by extensive gardens, the Prado River enjoys a fabulous location less than 2 km from Obidos Lake. Based on the eco-friendly concept, it's the details that inspire and attract the attention of European executives and those looking for a romantic and quiet destination. The decoration is presented with works of art, fine fabrics and sustainable materials, and even the Black SPA has treatments with organic products, not to mention the organic garden that the hotel has.

Accommodation

The spacious, elegant and bright 17 suites in the innovative Rio do Prado combine natural influences with contemporary inspirations. The fireplace will keep you warm in your room in the winter, and for the summer it is worth doing your own campfire on the terrace watching the stars, as if you were in a luxurious camp.

Deluxe Suite

The entrance to this suite is behind a small shrub. It has polish floor and decor in a soft gray tone allied to local handmade elements as well as demolition wood. The highlight is the double tub, perfect for a romantic moment. The suite is made in open space concept, which gives you a wonderful view from the sunset to the terrace and the garden.

Gastronomy

Maria Batata restaurant was built in a way that the sun hits all the tables, for breakfast you can already feel the solar energy. The lunches and dinners go straight from the organic garden to your plate. You order and follow the chef's way bringing fresh vegetables to the kitchen, all cooked in pink steel pans. A good wine list is available, but the must here is the gin selection, served with buckets of aromatic ice. At night in winter the fireplace brings a more intimate atmosphere, but if the weather is warmer, you can sit in the outdoor area with a bar and sip on one of the restaurant's signature cocktails.

Leisure

Within this design hotel guests are invited to the Black SPA which has sauna, a turkish bath and the Floating Room - with Epson salt therapy which is a trend - as well as two pools that are pure tranquility. Guests can also practice yoga by the pool, take a pizza and bread lesson or head off to discover the surroundings of Obidos on bicycles. The day always ends with a nice glass of wine around the restaurant fireplace talking to friends or at a more romantic time. Rio do Prado also has an organic supermarket and a library, ideal for relaxing a bit.

Location

Located just 1 km from Obidos Lagoon and 4 km from the village center, this eco-friendly hotel is an elegant style space close to the Portuguese coast. There are beaches just 10 km (5 minutes) away and the town of Peniche, ideal for surfing, is 25 km (20 minutes) from the hotel. Lisbon is an hour away by car.
