Along the fisherman village discover Caraivas, where the time stops. Away from civilization, just take a boat and start sailing. The little carriole waits for you on the other side of the river. The property has direct access to the beach, through a unique tropical garden, where people from all over the world stop to rest and be inspired. The property is run by a Frenchman and his Brazilian wife and respects the local traditions.
Each of the two suites have a unique and elegant decor, based on the local indigenous culture, and are spacious and open onto a private balcony with shower. The first is a tribute to the Brazilian nature and was made entirely of wood. The other one is cleaner, with burnt cement floors and white walls, plus a pretty vintage decor.
The villa offers a fresh breakfast with seasonal fruits, homemade cakes and regional sweets. Outside the hotel there is a wide variety of restaurants, follow the aroma of moquecas or try the pasties, perfect for an afternoon bite along the river. At night, the famous pizzeria on the other side of the village brings the flavors of Italy to the Local (the owner is the same as Le Paxa).
Caraíva is a haven of tranquility, so no car is allowed in the village, which makes the destination even more special. Enjoy the sun or explore the nearby beaches, alternating with some swimming in the river. As Bahia is synonymous with rhythm, every night there are different events at various venues, and to join them just allow yourself to be guided by the lively sound.
Joyful and relaxed, Caraíva is in the south of Bahia. Colorful, it attracts people from all over the world, especially in the Christmas period. If you are looking for a different Brazilian destination, this eco-friendly village will seduce you and take you away from the stresses of everyday life.
